Debi Varvi
Debi VarviThis is me, Debi, The Henna Crone, I've been offering superior henna services in Southern California since 1999. Henna is a plant-based stain that bonds to keratin, which is one of the main components of our epidermis, and also the skin used on drums.
Peacock
PeacockA peacock is a symbol of beauty, love and longing. This photo depicts the henna stain on the skin.
Mandala!
Mandala! This lovely young woman came to our booth requesting a mandala design. This photo depicts the finished design with the henna paste still on the skin. A mandala can be used as a meditation device and is representative of the universe, all things proceed from the center and return to the center.
Feathers and Flowers!
Feathers and Flowers! The stunning Crystal requested feathers and flowers. Since peacocks are symbolic of beauty, love and longing, and roses are symbolic of love and passion it felt beautifully appropriate to adorn her with this design.
A Crow?
A Crow?Yes! I love getting requests for birds! Birds are traditionally messengers of love, and in many cultures crows are considered to be very intelligent and mischievous. I was delighted to adorn this lovely young woman with her wild bird!
Moroccan Design!
Moroccan Design!People in many countries celebrate their lives with the beauty of henna adornment. In fact, wherever the henna shrub grows, these traditions have grown with it. Morocco is rich in henna designs which are distinctive and powerfully beautiful!
Sunflowers
SunflowersI adore creating large, lush floral designs! This image depicts the henna paste still on the skin.
