...haunting the cold currents of the Pacific, near the coastal region where California and Oregon kiss, this lonely Siren drifts. One of the tribe of bone collectors, cherishing the remains of those whom the ocean has devoured, howling their lost laments to the storm tossed waves....
I've always been fascinated with anthropomorphic creatures, perhaps it's a way to recognize our communal spirit. This original color pencil and pen and ink drawing has been created on a reclaimed map. Reclaimed paper is an inspiring way to work! These are very limited edition with a run of only 10 prints per original drawing, each is signed and numbered, when they're gone, they're gone (it's my way of encouraging myself to draw more!).
Archival inks, the best quality Arches paper, and an embossed faux matte serve to create a beautiful print. The final touch is an original embossed skull compass in the lower left corner.
The full paper dimension is 11"X15", the embossed faux matte line is 7 3/4"X10 3/4", and the print area is 7 1/2"X10".
